Mission

The Italian Factoring Association, apolitical and nonprofit entity, has been established in 1988 with the purpose of gathering factoring operators and promote a stable development of the factoring market. The Association aims at collaborating to the analysis and solution of the problems about factoring, through studying and providing information and tecnical assistance in favour of its own Members, promoting between them a spirit of cohesion and coordination, and through a harmonized representation of the industry interests toward the financial and economic system, the monetary and supervision authority, the public entities.

Members

The Members represent almost the total traditional factoring market, with banking nature, and a very significant market share of the so-called "captive" factoring, with industrial nature. Within Assifact Members one can find banks which directly offer factoring services, in their range of traditional banking and financial services, and banks which are specialized in factoring and other non-banking financial services. Finally, Assifact gathers, as Supporting Members, some entities which do not offer factoring or securitization services but pursue mainly aims compatible with those of Assifact.

Activities

Principal areas of action:

• to collaborate with other  Associations, Institutions and Entities, private of public, Italian or foreign, in solving the problems regarding factoring and securitization;
• to provide an information, technical assistance and advisoring activity in favour of its Members, promoting between them a spirit of cohesion and coordination;
• to perform and promote studies and research activities regarding factoring and securitization, also through publications and meetings;
• to perform an activity of statistical survey and production of data regarding the factoring market with the aim of monitoring the trend of the market and diffusing knowledge about it;
• to promote and favour exchanges of information of common interest between Members or between them and other entities, in Italy or abroad;
• to accomplish its statutory duties, in the interest of its Members, also toward the European Commission and the other International Entities and Institutions, directly or through apposite entities;
• to formulate behavioural guidelines with the aim of an auto-regulation of the profession;
• to perform, in general, every other activity useful to the achievement of the aims of the Association
